The hotel rooms were incredibly spacious, much larger than the typical Japanese hotel rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though their English skills were not perfect. The hotel's location, although not in the city center, was convenient with easy access to the subway, allowing for easy exploration of Kyoto. Additionally, the surrounding area was scenic and provided a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation after a day of sight-seeing.
The hotel's location was not perfect, as it was a bit far from the city center, requiring a 20-minute subway ride. There were not many dining options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, although the hotel did offer a variety of restaurant choices.

Spacious room, friendly staff, convenient location
We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The best aspects were the spacious room, friendly staff, and convenient location. The room was incredibly spacious, much larger than the one we had in Osaka. It was a perfect fit for our family. The staff, especially Yukika Yoshida at the Bell Desk, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They made us feel welcomed and made sure all our needs were met. The hotel's location was also a major plus as it was easy to commute to the central area of Kyoto and visit the city's famous sightseeing spots. Additionally, being near a lovely park added to the overall charm of the hotel.

The Club Lounge staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist me. They even helped me book a Reiki appointment with a local practitioner. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel provided all the transportation information I needed. The bag drop service at Kyoto station was also very convenient. The cherry blossoms in the area made for a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this hotel.

Spent xmas at this hotel and enjoyed the complementary chocolates and hot cocoa in the room. Easy access to the subway was a plus, making it easy to move around. The spacious room was also a good thing in this hotel which made our stay comfortable.
The staff was not helpful when the heater system failed, and it was cold. The check-in process was very slow, which somewhat spoiled our excitement.

We stayed at The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike, Autograph Collection with our family and had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff went above and beyond when my youngest daughter lost her watch. They helped us search the room and even arranged for it to be sent to Tokyo while we were still in Japan. Their excellent service and helpfulness made us happy and eager to stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, detailed interior, facilities, and helpful staff.

The value for money was great and the room was excellent - clean, spacious, and with good WiFi. The location was beautiful and quiet, surrounded by nature, and the staff were helpful and polite.
The only improvement I would suggest for the morning meal is to have more variety.
